I love you MR. CHURCH

What do I want out of High School?  Nothing I want MR. CHURCH BACK!
I want several things out of high school but I’m not going to write about that today. I’m going to write about a great man that I’m going to miss a lot. (tear) That’s why in honor of him I’m only making this essay 300 words. This is an essay of a great man. He is 30 years old and used to be my teacher. I said a lot of inappropriate things in class and lost his favor for a little while. Not to fear I dethroned Andy for the top spot before Mr. Church left  which single handedly made this the greatest month of the year .
He grew up loving basketball and is one of the few people that cultivated that love in me. And for that I love him. I wish you could have seen him command a class there was nothing like it. I can hear it like he’s saying it now … Shuuuuuuuuutttuuuuuuuuup!.  Aw the memories. Or when he sent me out in the halls and scared the crap out of me. Or the time when I said that I would beat him in basketball and couldn’t, that was AWESOME.
Just looking at him I wanted to give him a huge hug but I never did. That is something that I regret very much. When he has his knew fancy job and is playing basketball everyday and has his I-phone and I-pad and everything that Apples ever made ever I hope remembers me. I hopes he loves me as much I think he did, which he probably did because he always let me in his TA for Patriot time.
I hope when he is 80 years old and has no friends he’ll call me and we’ll basketball together.

NBA Playoffs

The Nba playoffs started Saturday with some amazing games.  In this article we are going to take a look at every match up for this round and make some predictions for that matchup.

Let's start with the Western Conference. The first matchup well look at is San Antonio v. Memphis. The spurs were a great team this year in the regular season finishing as the first seed in the western conference and with the second best record in the Nba. Memphis was a team that was just happy to make the playoffs as the number eight seed. It was my opinion that the Spurs would totally dominate this seven game series, probably in a sweep. That was until saw the first game where the Grizzlies won with a buzzer beater ending the game at 101-98.

The second matchup is the Lakers v. Hornets. The Lakers, in my opinion the best team in the league and finishing with second seed in the western conference. The Hornets were a team that early in the season started off red hot and slowly cooled throughout the rest off the season. Once again I was of the opinion that the Lakers would dominate this series but starting with the First game it was just the opposite. The Hornets beat the Lakers 109-100.

The third Matchup in the western conference is Dallas v. Portland. In this matchup Dallas is clearly the better team although the margin of difference is not as big as in the other matchup’s. Dallas finished as the third seed in the western conference and Portland as the sixth. I think that Dallas is likely to win this series and it looks like it's heading that direction with Dallas winning the first game 89-81.

The fourth and final matchup is OKC v. Denver. This is probably the most intriguing matchup for this round in the playoffs. OKC finished fourth in the rankings at the end if the season an Denver finished fifth. They are two pretty evenly matched teams that will probably make a good series. I believe it could even be a seven game series possibly. But the way these playoffs are turning out you never now. OKC won the first game 107-103.

Now let's move to the eastern conference. The first matchup we'll look at is the Bulls v. Pacers. This is all about the Bulls for this series. They had the number one over all record in the whole NBA for the regular season. Indiana barely made the playoffs and were below 500. On the season. The Bulls won the first game and um my opinion it's over. The bulls will win the series.
Japan

The earthquacke and tsunami in Japan were big deals but that's not the most important part, the really big deal is the nuclear reactors that are leeking out radiation in all of Japan and it is affecting the whole world. The whole world is being affected in more ways than just the radiation leek. It has stopped car production, the technology that is produced there will come to a halt, not to mention all the people that are in desperate need over in Japan.

Let's first talk about the radiation and how long that is going to keep going, how much damageJ is it going to do and how is it going to be stopped? In my opinion this one of the worst disasters we have seen in maybe the last 40 to 50 years. There us no way that they are going to be able to clean up the huge mess that this has caused. This land that this radiationspilled on to is never going to be useable again. Were talking maybe thousands of miles. This is not even talking about the people that has affected, infected, and killed. Many people gave been killed by the tsunami already, in the thousands, and many have had to leave their homes in order to not be affected and that's not even talking about the people that have already been infected with the radiation. And that's only been in the couple of months that the radiation has been leeking. I mean we already have some of the radiation here in Utah as seen in a recent survey. Plus they say that this could and probably will go on for another 9 months to a year. So the effects we could start seeing could be huge.

Furthermore we have to talk about the car industry and how it is affected. Virtually every country in the world buys cars from Japan and Hapan is a huge maker of cars. They make Dome, Honda, Isuzu, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Mitsuoka, Nissan, Subaru and Toyota. This means that nit only. is the world in huge need of cars from Japan but Japan's economy also depends selling and distributing those cars. There are several issues that have come up with this. Not only did the car companies sustain damage from the earthquackes, tsunami, and the radiation, but they get all of there power and energy from those exact nulear power plants that are in a meltdown. And not only that but the places where the car companies get the parts to make the cars are facing the same problem. This coupled with the fact that this whole fiasco could go on for another year if not linger is crippling to the car industry. There is also a shortage in some of the popular paint colors that are now unavailable because the factories making them in Japan have had to close down because of the radiation.

Now we need to talk about the things that people are doing to help the people in Japan. There are tons if things that people could and are doing. For instance there is an album on ITunes that is for the people of Japan and they are donating the money that is gained from the album and given to the people if Japan. It is only given to the people that are in need that were either affected by the earthquake it tsunami or are being directly effected by the radiation. Although in my personal opinion it is bit as big as an effort as it could be. Many things could be done like they were in Haiti. But it seems that because Japan isn't a third world country that people think that they don't have donate money or help out but by donating directly then we can be a part of helping those people out directly.

In conclusion it is a horrible situation Japan. There are tons of problems from the radiation leek to the car industry and there is almost nothing we can do about it. It just goes to shoe you how much we are at the mercy of mother nature and our own destructive power.

Tale of the atom bomb

This is the story of a controversial book that is being contested by the Corliss family. In this book it portrays an accident that happened with one of the atomic bombs in which one American was killed others were irratiated the power of the weapon was greatly reduced. There's only one problem. In order for this story to be true a one Mr. Fuoco would have had to replace Mr. Corliss. This is because the story is told from the eyes of Mr. Fuoco, and in the story he replaces Mr. Corliss. The only thing is that he never did replace him and Fuoco never flew on the plane that dropped the atomic bomb. The Corliss family also had evidence showing that Mr. Corliss had been in the plane, including the metal he got for his role in the bombing. The man who wrote the book, Charles Pellegrino, response tivthis was that he was stunned. Saying that he was thouroughly duped. Mr. Fuoco had tons if pictures and papers and he honestly liked the guy and beleuved his story.

To me this shows how twisted history can be. They say history is written by the winner in this case that wasn't true. Mr. Fuoco was the one that got his name etched(almost) in a little peice of history. This could be the case with lots of other pieces of history. Can you imagine if the Corliss family hadn't been around. History could have been altered forever. I really enjoyed this story.

Although this book is no longer in print it can still be bought on Amazon.com for 40$ and sounds really cool so you can check it out there.

Gohst City

An extremely beautiful and young city was destroyed.Gone just like that. It was one of many cities that was destroyed it was destroyed because of the radioactive explosion of Chernobyl. The town was Pripyat. It was young and new and beautiful. The towns population of nearly 50,000 fled the atomic winds the horrible accident at chernobyl.it was actually considered one of the best places to live in the Soveit Unioun. The question asked in this article is could this same thing happen Fukushima Japan. With the tsunami and the tocking time bombs in the nulear reactors the chances are high.

My personal opinion was that this was kind if scary. These were real people that got displaced and in some cases killed. And it could happen again. These were real people that were affected they had real lives and could never go back to the city they loved. I couldn't imagine if this happened to me. How would I feel? I have to leave the place where I lived and loved living and possibly being even having toleave some of my friends that wouuld be so hard.

But that isn't this isn't over people are still going through this right now in japan. To see more with what is going in japan just look at the news because it is a news article still developing and t all over the news.

Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan
This is an article of a lady that was expressing herself through photography by taking pictures of Uzbekistan people. These pictures portrayed Uzbekistan as a horrible place by taking depressing pictures of the people and the places that they lived in. The government took a very defensive stand on the pictures, and was even found guilty of slandering and insulting the Uzbek people. In the end she was pardoned of her three year prison sentence.
There are actually substantial points for both sides. While it does seem that the artist, Umida Akhmedova, was trying to paint Uzbekistan in a negative light, it was definitely a major over reaction by the Uzbekistan government. They prosecuted her for just taking pictures. And the only reason they waived the sentence was because they were getting pressure from Moscow to do so. The official reason that they gave was that it was in honor of the 18th anniversary of Uzbek independence. But that doesn’t seem to be the case.
It seems obvious that both parties were at fault for this fiasco. Uzbekistan didn’t need to react like that and those pictures didn’t need to be presented like that. In the end the situation was resolved but not that thoroughly and it is a situation that is going to come up again.

Review of Article
This was really an amazing article. It was an amazing story of people that just seemed destined to meet. The story is of a professional snowboarder and two brothers that ended up opening a business. They all had nothing and ended up making something of themselves. The brothers made something of themselves buy hard work and perseverance. The snowboarder, Alexa Loo, needed help to make her dreams come true but still had to work to make her dreams come true.
What I really get from this article is the need to not only not give up on yourself but to believe in others and in the things that they can do. It totally emphasizes that if the Kin brothers wouldn’t have believed in what they were doing and in putting in the hard work needed to make their dreams happen. The same with Alexa Loo if she wouldn’t have kept working hard and trying to keep her dream alive she wouldn’t be able to look for that opportunity to be in the Olympics.
Know I’m sure you’re wondering how this story ends. How does she do in the Olympics? Do the Kin brothers make keep doing a good job in the Industry? You’ll have to go the Internet to find out?
